Jaipur: A 30-year-old man in the city succumbed to burn injuries on Sunday after he had set himself on fire after a woman, he liked stopped talking to him.
Kardhani police station house officer (SHO) Heera Lal said that the deceased has been identified as Jitendra Singh, a native of Sawai Madhopur police station and worked as a labourer in Jaipur.
“He poured petrol on himself on March 24 and set himself on fire. He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to injuries,” he said.
Police said that Singh lived near Murlipura and met a woman who lived near Benar Road. As per police, Singh was irked at the woman after she stopped talking to him. tnn
