Atm: Thieves Decamp With Atm Containing ₹13l In Bundi, One Held | Jaipur News

Kota: At least five miscreants allegedly rooted a Bank of Baroda ATM at Bottom Level area in Lakheri town of Bundi early on Friday morning and fled the spot in a van. However, police detained driver of the van a few hours after the crime, seized his vehicle and recovered the empty ATM machine from forests near Indergarh Toll Plaza. “The miscreants broke the shutter of the ATM kiosk, uprooted the ATM machine and fled,” said additional superintendent of police (ASP), Bundi Kishori Lal, who rushed to the spot to take stock of crime situation. According to manager of BoB branch, the ATM contained Rs 13.500 lakh cash, he added.
On a report by bank branch manager, police lodged a case against unidentified accused and initiated efforts to trace them with help of CCTV footage in the area, he added.
“One of the accused identified as Vikas Kumar, a resident of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, was detained a few hours after the crime on Friday morning and his vehicle was sized at the check-post near Sumerpur village while he was trying to flee into the forest area,” SHO at Lakheri police station Mahesh Kumar said. tnn
