Jaisalmer: A couple killed themselves by jumping into a water tank in Dhorimanna area of Barmer district on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning, people passing from there saw the bodies floating.
According to information, both were close relatives due to which their relationship did not get social acceptance and they took this step. The maternal grandparents of both of them stay in Bhilon ki Basti Lukhu village.
According to police, Dinesh (18), a resident of Gudamalani, was staying at his maternal grandparents place, and Sushiya (17) stayed at Ranasar. On Tuesday, she came to her Bhilon ki Basti home.
Dhormanna SHO Sukhram Vishnoi said the bodies have been kept in mortuary for post-mortem. No suicide note was found, police said, adding both were not educated and while Sushiya used to work in a house, the boy stayed at his maternal grandparents house and was jobless. tnn
