Jaipur: The requirement of BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification for purchasing of medical equipment from local industries of Rajasthan will promote MSMEs in the sector, said ACS Medical and Health Shubhra Singh.
Speaking at a CII-Rajasthan event on Friday, she said the government has taken several initiatives which would benefit the people of the state. The BIS certification will help the MSME sector, she added.
Chairman of the industry body Abhinav Banthia said that medical tourism presents many opportunities for business and startups in India. “Rajasthan has also emerged as a popular destination for medical tourism,” added Banthia. TNN
