Nimbaram: Fir Quashed Against Rss Leader Nimbaram | Jaipur News

Jaipur: In a major setback to the government, the high court on Monday ordered to quash the FIR against RSS regional head Nimbaram by the ACB in the Rs 20 crore bribery case in the absence of evidence. The court also asked to stop the proceedings pending against him in the lower court.
The single bench of Justice Farzand Ali gave its verdict through video conferencing from Jodhpur. Nimbaram was accused of demanding Rs 20 crore in lieu of releasing the pending amount of Rs 276 crore from Jaipur Greater Nagar Nigam to garbage collection company BVG.
Nimbaram had challenged the FIR registered against him in the high court and the court on February 27 had reserved the verdict after arguments in writing. However, there is no relief for company executives Omkar Sapre and Sandeep Chaudhary accused in the same case.
ACB registered a case after a video surfaced on June 10, 2021 where RSS leader Nimbaram, Jaipur Greater mayor Saumya Gurjar’s husband Rajaram Gurjar, BVG company representative Omkar Sapre and Sandeep Choudhary discussed Rs 20 crore donation for the construction of Pratap Gaurav Kendra for the release of Rs 276 crore due to the company for from JMC-Greater.
The ACB booked all of them under the prevention of corruption Act and Rajaram Gurjar and the rest of the accused remained in jail but Nimbaram was not arrested after getting relief from the high court.
