BSP: Bsp To Fight Assembly Polls On Its Own | Jaipur News

Jaipur: BSP chief Mayawati on Monday said that “corruption” was an important issue in Congress-ruled states including Rajasthan and added that her party will contest the upcoming assembly elections on its own in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh focusing on issues of public interest and welfare. “The names of candidates are being announced at local level. The party is confident of a good result,” said the BSP chief.

She said her party will contest the elections on issues of unemployment, women security, farmers’ distress and suffering of the poor. BSP will launch the ‘Bahujan Raj Adhikar Yatra’ in the state from August 16. Party’s national coordinator Akash Anand will launch the yatra from Dholpur. The yatra will culminate in Jaipur on August 29. “Due to the politics of charges and counter-charges, and lawsuits between the Congress and the BJP on the 50 per cent commission allegation against the Madhya Pradesh government, burning issues such as inflation, poverty, unemployment, exploitation and atrocities are getting out of focus during elections,” Mayawati said in a post on X, earlier known as Twitter. tnn
