Budget: Nothing Substantial In The Budget, Say Kota Farmers | Jaipur News
Kota: Alleging that 95% announcements of last four years’ budget for farmers were not fulfilled, farmers’ organizations in Kota said there was nothing substantial and sustainable for the farmers in the state budget 2023 presented by chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday. They burnt symbolic copies of 2023 budget in Kota to lodge protest.
“Around 95% announcements of the last four years’ budget are incomplete and no work was done upon them and the state government is just creating an air of giving everything to farmers and in reality nothing has been given to farmers,” regional Prant Pracharak, Bhartiya Kisan Sangh, Ashish Mehta, said after burning symbolic copies of the budget.
The government promised to supply three phase electricity to farmers in day time but electricity is supplied only for four hours with tripping, he alleged.
The farmers are being refunded the deposit amount for solar plants, while the government is talking of enhancing the number of same.
“No announcement for the substantial and sustainable income and growth of the farmers has been made in the budget, neither any allocation for agri infrastructure or improvement of existing ones,” Chambal Command Area Development (CAD) network in Kota-Bundi is in a damaged condition and there is no budget announcement for the same, said, Dhulichand, vice present of Kisan Sabha.
He claimed that 50% coriander of the total produce in the country is cultivated in Kota but there was no word on infrastructure and processing units of the same.
Meanwhile, Bundi district president of Rajya Karmchari Mahasangh Ekikrat Anis Ahmed hailed CM Ashok Gehlot for implementation of contractual service rules that would be life-giving for contractual employees in the state and now they would be able to avail similar benefits of service as regular employees and it would also pave way for their regularization in service.
