Bundi Woman Crushed Under Tractor Over Land Row | Jaipur News
Police registered a case of murder against 16 persons including key accused Sopal and Jodhraj Meena and handed over the body to family members after the postmortem later in the day.
The deceased woman was identified as Sanju Meena, wife of Kailash, a resident of Pie village.
Nainwan police SHO, Subhash Chandra said, the deceased woman had accompanied her brother-in-law Manish and others to the agriculture field, which accused Sopal and Jodhraj were ploughing on a tractor at around 12pm on Tuesday when the dispute erupted.
Sopal allegedly ran the tractor wheels over the woman and crushed her on the spot while Manish, accompanying her, sustained injuries, he said.
The two were taken to a local hospital, where the doctor declared Sanju dead while Manish is under treatment, he further said.
The deceased woman had reportedly sold the agricultural land to Sopal but had reclaimed her possession over the land after some payment issue, he added.
Police teams were formed and sent to suspected locations to nab the accused, said circle officer of the area DSP Yogesh Choudhary.
Initially, a land dispute between the deceased woman and accused Sopal and Jodhraj surfaced as the reason behind the crime, however investigation in the matter is underway, he said.
