Chairman Displeased With Discoms’ Performance | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Chairman of Rajasthan discoms, Bhaskar A Sawant, expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of work and growing transmission & distribution (T&D) losses during a review meeting held on Wednesday. Pointing out a decrease in cash realization in May, Sawant warned engineers that if they fail to produce results, they will receive a charge sheet and their performance will be thoroughly reviewed. If no improvement is observed, the charge sheet will be converted into a penalty, he said.
Sawant expressed disappointment that only 6,000 agricultural connections had been issued so far, far short of the target of 26,000 connections till June. He also emphasized on promptly releasing pending connections for the PHED. Sawant advised that consumers should be informed about the 15 paise per unit discount on pre-paid meters.
