Chambal: 2 More Bodies Found In Last Leg Of Chambal Search Op, Toll Rises To 7 | Jaipur News
Jaipur: With the recovery of two more bodies from Chambal river, the death toll rose to seven on Tuesday.
Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have now stopped the rescue operation as out of the 17 pilgrims, 10 have been rescued and seven bodies recovered.
Joint teams of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan police found the bodies of Lavkush(12) and Brij Mohan(17) on Monday.
“The two bodies were found towards the MP side on Monday and with this the search is over,” said Ankit Singh, district collector, Karauli while talking to TOI.
On Saturday morning, two persons had drowned and five were missing when a group of 17 pilgrims were swept away by a strong current while crossing the Chambal River on foot near Rodhai Ghat under Mandrayal police station of Karauli. TNN
