Chauhatan: Police Recover 156kg Doda Post After Chasing Smugglers For 50km | Jaipur News
JAISALMER: Chauhatan police in Barmer district recovered 156 kg doda post after chasing smugglers for 50kms. However, the smugglers managed to escape.
Barmer SP Digant Anand said that during a patrolling in Chauhatan area smugglers sitting in pick up started running away on seeing the police. Police chased them for around 50kms.
Meanwhile their vehicle got stuck in sand and then the smugglers ran away leaving behind the vehicle. Police recovered 8 bags of 156kg Doda post and are searching for the smugglers.
Chauhatan Dy SP Dharmendra Dukia said that the vehicle got caught in sand near Gangala village, after which two smugglers ran away.
He said that police tried to find out from the vehicle number and found it to be of Ramesh Kumar of Mehsana Gujarat.
