Jaipur: In a joint operation, a team of Bachpan Bachao Andolan—founded by Nobel Peace laureate Kailash Satyarthi—and Bindayaka police station in Jaipur rescued 8 children from Bindayaka industrial area where they were found working in a matchbox making factory, late on Monday evening.
Police said that the children aged 13 to 17 years were trafficked from Bihar and the police have detained one person involved in their trafficking. All the children were trafficked by one Hira Kumar from their native villages in Bihar’s Madhepura district, police said. tnn
