“During Covid, my resolve for making a career in the medical field became stronger. For the past three years, I have been studying 12 hours daily preparing for my classes and coaching,” said the topper.
He prepared for the exam from Allen Career Institute in Jaipur. Sharing his success mantra, he said, “I have never followed any shortcuts to clear the exam or to study. Over the years I have improved my attention span to a level that even studying for 12 hours I don’t feel the fatigue.”
He recalled that five questions in the exam did give him a tough time as he was not confident of the answer.
“It was a decisive moment as I didn’t lose my control and patiently got into the skin of the question to hit the right answer. Almost 80% of the paper can be attempted by anyone but what defines your performance is a very tough question section which judges your sum of understanding of the subject,” said Khandelwal.
Khandelwal, who lives with his family at Ambabari area in Jaipur, wants to pursue MBBS from AIIMS, Delhi with specialising in neurology or cardiology. He has his ways to destress himself on tougher days.
“I speak to my friends who have also appeared for the exam on all kinds of topics including our subjects also. Every student has his or her own way of approaching the examination according to his/her ability and attention span. I discuss these ways with my friends and take their advice on how to improve my performance,” said Khandelwal, whose father is a businessman.
