Coaching Hub To Start Ops From Next Academic Session | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Although chief minister Ashok Gehlot is likely to inaugurate the upcoming Coaching Hub in Pratap Nagar in July, full-fledged operations at this facility are likely to start from the next academic year. Most institutions – those who were allocated here – had stated that it is very difficult to shift bag and baggage to a completely new compound in the middle of academic session.
“It is very difficult to shift to a new compound in the middle of academic year. We may start developing our infrastructure and at the most may organise a few special classes at this compound for the time being. New batches will start coming here only around March-April 2024,” said an official from an institution who did not want to be quoted.
Officials of most of the institutions admitted that the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) – the nodal agency that is developing this hub – should have started this at least by May this year.
“In fact, till now, out of 140 units in the coaching hub, only 55 units have been allotted to coaching operators. It means even if coaching centres start operations the footfall would be very low,” said an official of another institution.
Responding to the reactions of the coaching institutions, RHB officials stated that from June 19 the board will start online bidding for the remaining unsold units. The online sale counter will remain open from Mondays to Wednesdays. Lottery will be drawn on every Wednesday at 5pm.
Officials also clarified that a few of the allotted coaching institutions will start operations from this hub within next couple of months.
“The chief minister will inaugurate it in early July. Within next one or two months a few coaching centres will start operations. Those institutions that train competitive exam aspirants don’t need to comply with academic sessions,” said housing commissioner Pawan Arora.
In fact, considering a ‘little’ footfall in the initial days RHB had sent a request to Jaipur City Transport Services Limited to start one or two bus routes from this place. In addition, RHB is arranging for app cab stands in the compound for the convenience of students, guardians and teachers.
