Coas General Pande Visits Forward, Desert Areas Of Southern Command | Jaipur News
Jaisalmer: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Manoj Pande visited forward and desert areas of Southern Command in Jaisalmer on Thursday and Friday to review operational preparedness of the military there. He interacted with officers and troops and appreciated their readiness to meet contemporary and future challenges, said a statement from the Southern Command.
During his visit to Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, Gen Pande reviewed operational and logistics readiness of the formation and complimented all ranks for their high morale and adoption and validation of new technology in the pursuit of improving combat readiness. This was his first visit to these parts as COAS.
In Jaisalmer, Gen Pande visited the BattleAxe Division area and reviewed the operational preparedness of the formation. He emphasized on continuously improving core competencies while leveraging new technologies. He also visited the Battle Axe Division in the deserts where they are in the process of honing core competencies to remain future ready. Senior Army officers accompanied him. Gen Pande also declared open the Army Scout Masters Competition (ASMC) during this visit. The competition will test the overall skills of Mechanised Infantry Scouts in a stimulated battlefield scenario. tnn
