Jaisalmer: Demanding help to bring back 20 Rajasthanis stranded in Lubumbashi in Congo, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) chief and MP Hanuman Beniwal has written a letter to external affairs minister S. Jaishankar and minister of state for external affairs. The stranded includes 19 from Barmer and 1 from Ajmer
According to the information, the stranded group, who used to work in a company in Lubumbashi city, have been held hostage and harassed by the company.
Having shared the letter on his twitter handle, Beniwal has urged the officials of the Indian Embassy in Congo to issue instructions in providing assistance for immediate release of Indian citizens.
One of the hostages, Andaram, a resident of Baytu Revani, shared with his family that all the 20 people had been falsely implicated and harassed by the company. He said
Andaram, who had gone to Congo 13 months ago to work as a labourer, mentioned that two of the workers, Rajuram and Mukesh Kumar, were subjected to inhuman torture by company officials for miscalculations in accounts. TNN
