Congress Must Work Together To Return To Power, Says Pilot | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot on Tuesday said the Congress must try to reverse the trend of changing governments in the state every five years. He said if the government, organisation and party workers work in unison, it could be possible.
Pilot said Congress was elected thrice in a row in Delhi under Sheila Dixit and in Assam under Tarun Gogoi, but Rajasthan has been an exception in the last three decades. While addressing a farmers’ rally at Pilibanga in Hanumangarh district, he said if all work unitedly, the party has a chance to repeat the government this time.
He claimed that the youth are particularly unhappy with the BJP government at the Centre. He said winning in the three states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh is important for the Congress as Lok Sabha elections come close after the three assembly polls. The former deputy chief minister said though BJP won all 25 Loka Sabha seats in the state, their performance has been dismal.
He alleged that the Centre has been discriminating against the Congress governments even in the allocation of fertilizers and farmers were forced to stand in queues in the biting cold at night.
He said even other parties are against vendetta politics by the NDA government.
