Cops Under Scrutiny For Brawl In City Hotel In Their Presence | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The city police faced scrutiny over its inability to control a brawl that occurred inside a hotel involving cabinet minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas’s nephew in Vaishali Nagar late Tuesday night. One CCTV footage, which surfaced after the brawl at Hotel County Inn, showed two policemen inside the dining area. Despite their presence, the two groups involved in the brawl continued to wrestle with each other and the cops appeared helpless in controlling the situation.
In one part of the CCTV footage, a constable was seen holding a man who was still being attacked, while another man was using chairs to attack someone else.
Hotel owner’s son, Abhimanyu Singh, said that such scenes continued even in front of the police. Police officials countered his claim saying that the cops prevented the situation from escalating further.
Singh alleged that the police attempted to coax him into settling the case since it involved the minister’s nephew. He said that police indicated to him that finding a settlement would be the best course of action, else it could be difficult for him to continue running the hotel. Singh alleged that the suspects damaged the server room located in the basement in an attempt to erase the CCTV recordings.
Police said that two FIRs have been registered in the brawl case.
