Crimes: Cm Says More Crimes Taking Place In States Ruled By Bjp Than Raj | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Making a scathing attack on BJP for staging protest over rising crime in state, chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday said the truth is that according to NCRB figures, BJP-ruled Assam, Union Territory of Delhi, Haryana are in the top five states in crimes against women per 1 lakh population.

BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of rape cases against women. BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh is at the forefront of the country in murder, crime against women and kidnapping, he said in a tweet.
“Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country in terms of rape of minors i.e. POCSO Act while Rajasthan is at 12th position,” said the CM.

The chief minister said that in the NCRB report, compared to 2019 crimes against women decreased in Rajasthan in 2021, while crimes increased in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh. The whole world has seen the kind of incidents that have happened with women in Manipur. ABVP office-bearers and workers are accused in rape cases in Jodhpur, he said.
“Despite the policy of compulsory registration of FIR in Rajasthan, about 5% less crimes have been registered in 2021 as compared to 2019 while 17 states and union territories have registered more crimes. In Rajasthan, women have full hearing and police takes strict action against crime against them,” he said.
Gehlot said it was to divert attention from the failures of Manipur and BJP-ruled states that BJP leaders were trying to defame Rajasthan.
PCC presdent Govind Singh Dotasra said that Manipur is burning in the fire of violence under the double engine government of BJP, women are being raped, the world is watching videos of BJP leaders torturing tribal youths in Madhya Pradesh, but PM Modi or any BJP leader did not utter a word.
