Dehmi Kalan: 13 Pilgrims Hurt As Bus Hits Truck Near Behror | Jaipur News
Jaipur: At least 13 pilgrims were injured when a bus in which they were coming to Jaipur was hit by a truck near Dehmi Kalan village under Behror police station area of Alwar.
After the collision, the bus fell into a big ditch. Three persons sustained critical injuries.
According to the police, the incident took place at 5.45am on Saturday when the pilgrims in the bus were on the way to Khatu Shyamji temple in Sikar from New Delhi.
“It appears that either the driver of the truck or bus was drowsy that led to the accident,” said a senior police officer of Behor.
Locals and villagers came to rescue the passengers. They broke the windows with hammers and stones and bailed out the passengers.
“Before the arrival of the police tractors, jeeps and other vehicles took the injured to a nearby hospital,” the officer added.
The traffic between Delhi and Jaipur remained disrupted due to the accident. Police brought cranes and removed the vehicles and the traffic was restored at 7am. “Out of the 13 pilgrims who got injured, the condition of three was critical,” the officer added.
