Delhi Cm Kejriwal To Hold Public Meeting In Udaipur Next Month | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Considering the upcoming polls Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal is planning another visit to Rajasthan in August, following the recent rally organised by the BJP in Udaipur. The AAP is actively working on forming 45,000 village and ward committees in the state.
Initially, the exercise was expected to be completed by July 8. Party sources, however, claimed that the deadline will be extended until August 1. Once the process is completed, Kejriwal will attend the oath ceremony.
A party member said “This time the rally will be organized in Udaipur or Kota division. Most probably the AAP supremo will come to Udaipur to counter both the opposition parties. The party will issue certificates to the committee members.”
The (AAP) plans to form village and ward committees in Rajasthan, establishing a robust organisation ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
In every Lok Sabha, AAP MLAs from Punjab or their representations have been given responsibilities to oversee the campaign of forming working committees.
Former state organisation minister Giriraj Singh Khangarot, said AAP has positioned itself as a formidable alternative to contest elections on the 200 Vidhan Sabha seats in the state. Clear instructions were given to complete the constitution of these committees.
Khangarot added, “A campaign will be initiated to establish these committees. The village committee will consist of 11 members, while the ward committees will have 21 members. Their primary objective will be to strengthen the party, promote its ideology and showcase its good work.”
With the appointment of Naveen Paliwal as the state president, along with divisional in-charges, Lok Sabha presidents, district presidents, block presidents and circle presidents, the party is taking significant steps to move forward.
In the past, assembly elections in Rajasthan have predominantly been contested between the BJP and the Congress, with both parties securing most of the seats. However, AAP, which intends to contest all the seats in the upcoming assembly elections, is confident of its success.“The party has made arrangements at the organisational level to instill enthusiasm among workers,”said a party worker.
