U’khand Mishap Victims Arriving In City Today | Jaipur News
Jaipur: All but one of the 28 pilgrims from Jaipur who met with a serious accident in Uttarakhand on Thursday are on their way back and expected to reach the city in the wee hours of Saturday. One severely injured pilgrim has already been shifted to Jaipur by an ambulance, said officials.
“We are keeping a close track of the accident victims. They were transferred to Haridwar on a bus arranged by Uttarakhand Police on Friday morning. They boarded a bus from Haridwar in the afternoon and would reach Jaipur around 4am on Saturday,” said a government official.
On Thursday, the bus carrying these pilgrims turned turtle on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway at around 11am. Nearly ten pilgrims were rushed to a hospital following the accident, and nine of them were released after first aid.
There were 28 pilgrims from Jaipur, mainly from Sodala area, who had gone for the char dham yatra, said officials. The accident took place when they were returning to Jaipur.
