Delhi Police: Delhi Police Questions Cm’s Osd For 3rd Time | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Lokesh Sharma, OSD to chief minister Ashok Gehlot, was questioned in person for the third time by Delhi Police (crime branch) on Monday in the 2020 phone-tapping case.
Sharma told reporters that he was questioned by police for over an hour. He informed that he had received the audio from WhatsApp which he had forwarded to the media. He said he had nothing to do with phone-tapping and only wanted to expose those behind the conspiracy to topple the government.
The issue is related to an audio where one Gajendra Singh spoke to a middleman and some rebel Congress MLAs on horse-trading. The Congress claimed Gajendra Singh in the audio is Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
Delhi Police had served a notice to Sharma asking him to appear for questioning in the case after the Union minister filed a complaint.
The notice was issued days before Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear the crime branch’s application seeking vacating of an interim order staying any coercive action against Sharma. Hearing on the crime branch application and a petition by Sharma seeking quashing of the FIR against him is scheduled for February 20.
On March 25, 2021, Delhi Police registered an FIR against Sharma for criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and unlawfully intercepting telegraphic signals (telephonic conversation) on a complaint lodged by Shekhawat, who is also the BJP MP from Jodhpur. tnn
