Bihar studentin Kota among 5killed in mishaps | Jaipur News

Kota: A 19-year-old engineering aspirant from Bihar’s Bhagalpur was among the five people killed in three road accidents in Bundi, Kota and Baran districts between Saturday evening and early Sunday morning.
Police said Aditiya Tomer, 19, a resident of Bhagalpur in Bihar, and Manish Sharma, 35, a resident of Khedli Phatak area in Kota city, were killed after an unidentified vehicle hit the motorbike they were riding on NH-52 on Saturday evening. “The accident took place near Khedla village under Talera police station of Bundi district, and the two were crushed under the wheels of the vehicle. They died on the spot,” said DSP Shankar Lal.
Tomer was reportedly preparing at an institute in Kota to crack the entrance examination for admission in engineering colleges while Sharma was a marketing representative of the institute.
The two were going on a motorbike to the Teej fair in Bundi when at around 7.30pm an unidentified truck hit their bike and crushed them to death. The truck driver fled after the mishap, added Lal.
Tomer’s younger brother also studied in Kota. He told police that his brother had left their room on Saturday evening, saying he was going for an outing. Sharma’s body was handed over to his family after post-mortem on Sunday morning while Tomer’s body was in the mortuary for post-mortem which will be conducted after his family members arrive, said Lal.
In the second accident, a car carrying five people overturned and fell into a roadside ditch on Sultanpur-Degod state highway under Degod police station of the Kota district at around 11pm on Saturday. Two people — Manish Meena, 30, and Mahesh Meena, 28, both residents of Bislaye village under Budhadeet police station of Kota district — were killed on the spot. Three others — Dilkhush Meena, Manak Chand Meena and his 12-year-old son Krishan Murari, also of the same village —sustained injuries, said Degod police station SHO Ramesh Singh.
A stray bovine reportedly came on the road suddenly and the driver lost control of the car. The injured were rushed to MBS Hospital in Kota, where they are under treatment, added Singh. The two bodies were handed over to their families on Sunday morning.
In the third accident, a 55-year-old woman was run over by an unidentified four-wheeler on state highway 51 near her village Solahedi under Kawai police station of Baran district early Sunday morning. The woman, identified as Tulsabai Meena, was run over by a vehicle when she was going for defecation in the open, said Kawai police station SHO Man Singh.
