Dental College At Shastri Nagar To Undergo Facelift | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: The only dedicated government dental college at Shastri Nagar will undergo a facelift.
The medical education department has given approval for construction of a floor for clinical area and procurement of equipment along with other renovation work. A 180-bedded hostel building for girls will also come up at RUHS college of dental sciences, Shastri Nagar. Besides, funds for 70-bedded resident hostel (studio apartment) building have also been approved.
The expansion of the hospital is required as on an average, more than 20,000 patients from the state and neighbouring states report to the hospital OPD every month and it has been increasing.
Since the dental hospital requires more space for clinical work, construction of one floor for clinical area over existing hospital building at the hospital and one floor over existing academic building has also been planned in the institute spread over 7.6 acres of land with the constructed area of 3.5 lakhs square feet.
