Dholpur Bjp Mla &3 Others Join Congress | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Dholpur MLA Shobharani Kushwah, who was expelled by BJP for cross-voting in Rajya Sabha polls in June last year, has joined Congress along with three others at Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi’s rally in Jhunjhunu on Wednesday.
Priyanka welcomed the four leaders into the party.
BJP leader from Kishangarh, Vikas Chaudhary, and former National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Mamta Sharma also joined the Congress.Choudhary was disgruntled over not getting a BJP ticket from Kishangarh Assembly seat in the upcoming polls as the party preferred its Ajmer MP Bhagirath Chaudhary form there. Vikas contested the last Assembly election from there on a BJP ticket but lost.
It is a homecoming for Mamta Sharma and her son Samridh. Mamta had joined the BJP just before the Assembly elections in 2018 after she was denied a party ticket by the Congress. BJP fielded her from Pipalda but she lost the election.
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot and Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra were among the party leaders present at the public meeting.

Maharaj, who had previously left the BJP to join Congress, is in talks with BJP officials and has expressed interest in contesting the Ambikapur seat. Congress is also facing internal resentment from MLA Brihaspat Singh, who was denied a ticket.
Telangana BJP neta quits, set to join Congress
Former Telangana MLA and BJP election screening committee chief, Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy, has resigned from the saffron party and is expected to rejoin Congress. He has expressed his desire to contest from Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Gajwel seat, despite Congress already naming T Narsa Reddy as their candidate for the constituency. This move was anticipated as his name was not included in BJP’s first list for the Munugode seat.
