RU Colleges: Three Ru Colleges Get New Principals |

Jaipur: RU VC profesor K L Shrivastava on Wednesday appointed principals in three constituent colleges, almost a month after the posts fell vacant. Professor Vinod Kumar Sharma from Hindi department was appointed as the principal of Rajasthan College, professor Satyanarayan Dolia from physics department appointed as principal of Maharaja College, and professor Bhavani Shankar Sharma from Business Administration department appointed as principal of Commerce College.

New RG Kar principal allowed into his chamber five days after appointment
Students at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata continue to protest against the removal of the former principal and an alleged incident of ragging. The newly appointed principal, Manas Bandyopadhyay, was denied entry to his office but managed to gain access on Saturday. Students supporting the former principal are demanding his reinstatement, while those in favor of the new principal are calling for punishment for those involved in the ragging incident. There are also allegations of corruption on campus. Previously, a student had complained about ragging to the former principal, but the complaint was allegedly ignored.
Time-barred: HC junks charge-sheet against former govt college principal
The Madhya Pradesh high court dismissed a charge-sheet against a retired acting principal of a government Ayurvedic college in Jabalpur, ruling it invalid due to being issued past the time limit of four years. The charge-sheet was related to the inclusion of certain points in the minutes of a meeting that were not discussed. The court held that the four-year period should be computed until the date the charge-sheet was actually issued, not when the decision to charge-sheet was made. The charge-sheet was subsequently cancelled.
