Election Officials: Election Officials Gear Up for Polling Day in Jaipur | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Polling parties are gearing up for their duties ahead of the polling day, set to commence on Friday. Departure of polling parties from three locations for the 19 seats in Jaipur district will begin at 11 am on Friday.
According to the schedule, the polling teams will depart from Sikar Road to Bhawani Niketan College, JLN Marg to Rajasthan College, and Delhi Bypass to Jamia Millia Islamia University.These parties are being sent in two phases, with the first phase directed towards far-flung assembly constituencies and the second phase involving parties of employees from nearby polling stations.
District election officer Prakash Rajpurohit said, “In the Jaipur district, 4,691 polling booths have been set up on 19 seats, where 50.95 lakh voters will cast their votes. GPS systems have been installed on all the vehicles carrying polling parties and EVM machines for monitoring to ensure they follow the designated route. Every vehicle will be monitored in the control room, and EVMs will be checked through mock polls.”
After reaching the polling booth, the polling parties will make all necessary arrangements and conduct mock polls, allowing agents of the candidates to check and ensure the EVM machines are functioning correctly. “Once the agents are satisfied, all EVMs will be cleared, sealed, and packed, to be opened on the day of voting,” added an official.
There is no need to go to Bhavani Niketan to deposit the EVMs; this time, polling parties will deposit the EVM-VVPAT along with other items at counters in Rajasthan and Commerce Colleges.
At Rajasthan Commerce College, EVMs-VVPATs of Chaumau, Phulera, Chaksu, Kishanpole, Vidyadhar Nagar, Amer, Viratnagar, Jamwaramgarh, Bassi, and Shahpura assembly constituencies will be deposited. Jhotwara, Bagru, Dudu, Sanganer, Adarsh Nagar, Civil Line, Malviya Nagar, Hawamahal, and Kotputli asconstituencies will have their EVMs-VVPATs deposited at Rajasthan College.
