Jaipur: Transfers of doctors from Kishanpole constituency has made the local MLA Amin Kagzi, who reached health minister Parsadi Lal Meena’s bungalow on Saturday morning and sat on a dharna demanding to withdraw orders of all the five doctors.
He reached the health minister’s office with the residents of his constituency who demanded from the health minister to issue orders of cancellation of the orders of transfer of the four doctors.
“A lot of posts of doctors in my constituency are vacant, but despite of that, doctors were shifted to other places. The transfer of doctors has caused anger among people of the area,” Kagzi told TOI.
Earlier, too Kagzi had made request to the health minister to withdraw orders of transfer of doctors from his constituency. Since, no orders were issued in this regard, Kagzi and people from the constituency protested outside the health minister’s residence.
Kagzi reached Meena’s bungalow made the matter clear to the health minister. Hearing his complaints, Meena tried to persuade the MLA from his own party. “The doctors will be posted, where MLA wants,” he said, while grabbing hand the agitating MLA.
In the past few days, the health department has been issuing orders of transfers of doctors, in the orders, the names of four doctors from Kishanpole was also in the list.
The MLA ended the sit-in dharna only with the assurance from the health minister.
