Dudu: Ex-mla Opposes Inclusion Of Malpura In Dudu Or Kekri, Bats For It To Become District | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Ex-MLA of Malpura, Surendra Vyas, has written to the chairman of district reorganisation committee, Ram Lubhaya, requesting him that Malpura should be allowed to remain in Tonk district, and not included either in newly formed Dudu or Kekri district. He also said Malpura has ‘full right to become a new district’.
In a letter to Lubhaya, Vyas also pointed out that an earlier proposal made by Lubhaya to create seven districts, as published by local media, was a valid one. Retired IAS officer Ram Lubhaya had submitted a report to the government recommending creation of 19 districts in Rajasthan. “Before creating new districts, it is necessary to consider which districts are geographically large beyond the capacity of administrative skills and whose division is necessary to provide effective administration,” wrote Vyas in the letter.
“When it was clearly directed that you must give suggestions based on merit, then according to your ability and reputation, it was expected that you would submit your suggestions on merit only. The division of Tonk district by any standard was unimaginable,” he added. “I also understand that all the districts that have been created in Rajasthan in the past must have been studied by you, and as far as I know, till now no district has been created because of political reasons unless it was necessary. It was expected of you to study the proceedings of district creation of your predecessors, its background and reasons and give suggestions accordingly.”
“The recommendation for creation of these districts is completely in line with your reputation and working system and is absolutely justified. But, I cannot say what could have been the reason for rebuttal of the news item in an interview on January 13, 2023, stating that the report was yet to be submitted,” Vyas added.
