‘economic Hub’ Planned On Land Meant For Airport | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has issued a notification to create an economic hub at Shivdaspura and Bada Padampura area of Jaipur. Officials said that land measuring 2,500 hectare land had been earmarked earlier for a greenfield airport. However, with the state government shelving the airport plan two years back, the land would be converted into an economic hub.
“We have already issued a notification in this regard and the enforcement department would clear a few encroachments. After this we are going to start the land filling process before designing a blueprint for the project,” said a JDA official.
Officials claimed with this economic hub areas around the land on the sides of the Tonk Road would also be developed at a rapid pace.
“The land was lying defunct for years. Following a green signal from the urban development department we had issued the notification. Process for development would start soon,” another JDA official added.
