Elections: 706 Complaints Filed Via C-vigil App In 3 Days | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The state’s chief electoral officer (CEO) Praveen Gupta said that 706 complaints were received through C-Vigil app within just 72 hours of the implementation of the model code of conduct (MCC) in view of the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
Of the total, returning officers found 176 complaints to be genuine and they were resolved within the stipulated time, said Gupta.
According to the CEO, 96 complaints were related to removal of posters and banners.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Wednesday changed the date of poll for the Rajasthan assembly elections from November 23 to November 25.
The decision was taken on account of large-scale weddings/social engagements coinciding with the previous poll date in view of ‘Dev Uthani Ekadasi’ (Abujh Sawa), considered to be an auspicious occasion. TNN

The election notification will be issued on November 3, and the last date for nominations is November 10. Efforts have been made to increase the gender ratio and enroll first-time voters. The commission has also implemented measures to prevent voter inducement and published the criminal history of candidates. Integrated election expenditure monitoring is being done.
