Engine Oil: Massive Fire Erupts In Building With Engine Oil Stockpile | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A major fire broke out in a building in the Transport Nagar area, where a large quantity of engine oil was stockpiled on Saturday evening.
DCP (East) Gyan Chandra Yadav stated that a call was received about a multi-story building engulfed in flames in the area, prompting the immediate dispatch of several fire tenders to the scene.
“What we have learned so far is that there was a building where activities related to the engine oils were taking place. There were a few persons in the building who were promptly evacuated,” he said.
A senior official from the fire department mentioned that multiple fire tenders were deployed to the scene, and at the time of writing this story, the fire was still raging.
Authorities have reported that the cause of the fire could not be determined, but they have not ruled out the possibility of firecrackers or electrical malfunctions that may have sparked the fire.
The fire department also evacuated people living in nearby areas and shops as part of the safety protocol. In the videos of the fire that soon went viral, large drums could be seen.
The officials also mentioned that while the operation to extinguish the fire was still underway, one portion of the building was reported to have been completely destroyed in the blaze.
