Ex-Rajasthan CM Vasundhra Raje to showcase strength on birthday with Dev Darshan Yatra | Jaipur News

Bundi district BJP has distanced itself from the event claiming it is not a party function and no direction was received from state party office
KOTA: Former chief minister and BJP’s national vice-president Vasundhra Raje is all set to showcase her strength on her birthday on Tuesday, which coincides with National Women’s Day, by kicking off a two-day Dev Darshan Yatra from Keshavrai temple in Keshoraipatan town of Bundi district.
However, Bundi district BJP has distanced itself from the event claiming it is not a party function and no direction was received from the state party office.
Meanwhile, two separate audio clips of Bundi district BJP president Cheetarmal Rana and party’s local MLA Ashok Dogera, wherein the two local leaders are asking a party worker to distance from Dev Darshan Yatra as it is not a party event, is making rounds in social media groups reflecting the rift on the leadership within the state party organization.
“Why are you saying it our programme,” Rana responded to a party worker from Dalelpura village of Bundi district.
“Those who have been expelled from the party are promoting Dev Darshan Yatra,” Rana was heard telling the party worker.
Rana said it was up to party worker’s individual choice to attend the event. He added that since Vasundhra Raje was the former chief minister, all of them would greet Raje and convey her best wishes on birthday. Rana, however, admitted those who have been expelled from the party are also involved in arrangements of Raje’s event.
Dogera, who is considered Raje’s man, claimed to the local media that it was not his voice in the audio and he did not receive any party worker’s call. All the party workers at the ground level are enthusiastic about the proposed Yatra and birthday celebrations of Raje, said Rupesh Sharma, an ex-member of the state BJP executive committee, associated with preparation for the event along with former minister Babulal Verma, Ex-MLA Phralad Gunjal, Bhawani Singh Rajawat, Bundi BJP ex-president Mahipat Singh Hada.
Raje is scheduled to reach Keshoraipatan by helicopter on Tuesday morning following which she would perform a puja at Keshorai temple. Thereafter, she would attend a public meeting on the banks of Charmanyawati river where she would receive greetings and address a public meeting, Sharma said.
