Jaipur: After a gap of five years, the Assam Rifles once again organised ex-servicemen rally in the state capital where issues of pension and other opportunities was discussed.
The unit, which comes the administration of ministry of home affairs and not defense ministry, have already organised around seven rallies this year across the country to address the issues of the ex-servicemen.TNN

Terror incidents steadily declining in J&K, down to 41 this year: Home ministry
Terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir have decreased this year, with only 41 reported until November 15, compared to 125 in 2022 and 228 in 2018. The government’s zero tolerance policy against terrorism aims to dismantle the terror ecosystem. The number of encounters has also decreased, with 44 registered this year compared to 117 in 2022. The number of civilian casualties in such incidents has decreased as well, with 13 reported in 2023. The number of security force personnel martyred in the line of duty in J&K has also decreased to 20 this year.
