Jaisalmer: In two separate incidents, a retired soldier and a 23-year-old youth committed suicide in Barmer on Sunday.
Police said the retired soldier, identified as Kishore Singh Shekhawat, consumed poison at a hotel room in Barmer city apparently due to monetary issues. He left a suicide note with the names of six persons on his WhatsApp status. Kotwali police seized the note and other items in the hotel room. began a probe.
In the second incident, 23-year-old Akash, a native of Hadvecha in Sheo, was found hanging in his room at Indira colony in Barmer city. He took the step when his father was at the textile shop and his mother had gone to her brother’s house. Police said Kishore, a resident of Karad Fataramgarh in Sikar, was working as a security guard at a refinery in Barmer for the last 2 months. tnn
