Rats gnaw eyelid of paralysed woman in Kota hospital’s ICU | Jaipur News

KOTA: In yet another shocking incident of mismanagement in government hospitals of the state, family of 30-year-old paralyzed woman undergoing treatment in MBS Hospital have alleged that her eyelids were gnawed by rats.
The incident occurred early on Tuesday in the stroke unit of MBS Hospital where a large number of patients from Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh districts and even from Guna, Shivpuri, Ratlam and Mandsaur districts of Madhya Pradesh come for treatment daily. The hospital management formed a three-member committee to probe the matter on Tuesday.
Roopmatibai (30), wife of Devender Singh Bhati, was undergoing treatment in stroke unit of MBS Hospital. Roopmati had a paralytic attack and was suffering from GBS (Guillain – Barre) syndrome and she could not speak or move her limbs. She had been under treatment in the hospital for last 45 days and was shifted from ventilator two days ago.
