A report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has revealed that 93 out of 230 sitting MLAs in Madhya Pradesh have criminal cases registered against them. Of these MLAs, 39 belong to the BJP, 52 belong to the Congress, one is from the BSP, and one is independent. The report also states that 47 MLAs have serious criminal cases, with one having a murder case registered against him. Additionally, the report reveals that 186 out of 230 MLAs are ‘crorepati’, with 76 from the Congress and 107 from the BJP.

Pune: Man with criminal history arrested for temple ornament theft
A criminal with a police record, Sunil Anna Kamble, was arrested for stealing silver ornaments worth Rs 2.6 lakh from a temple in Pune. The CCTV footage showed Kamble bending down before the deity before stealing the ornaments. He later claimed that he begged the deity for forgiveness before committing the crime due to his fears. Kamble has a history of criminal activities, including a murder case, and has been previously arrested in multiple theft cases. The police team managed to apprehend him before he could sell off the stolen items.
