Jaisalmer: After a day-long dharna outside the hospital where the body was kept, the family of murdered Congress leader Aam Singh agreed to take away the body at about 8pm on Wednesday. The body was cremated on Thursday.
Several rounds of talks were held by the administration, including by Barmer SP Digant Anand, with family members and other protesters who were sitting on dharna and refusing to take the body until the murderers were arrested. The local Congress leader, belonging to the Rajput community, was murdered while he was sleeping at his farmhouse past Monday midnight. The police have not made any arrests yet in the murder case.
