Feb passenger traffic surpasses pre-Covid level at Jaipur airport | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: With nearly 4.7 lakh passenger footfall in February, Jaipur International Airport crossed the pre-Covid traffic in the first two months of this year, officials said on Friday.
Passenger traffic in February 2023 is 55% higher than February 2022 and 5% higher than that of the corresponding month in 2019.
Out of the overall passenger movement in February, 92% were domestic and 8% was international. Last month, the average footfall at the airport was 15,548 with average 64 flights per day. In January, the airport witnessed a record number of single day passengers at 16,990.
Passenger traffic at Jaipur airport has been increasing since the past few months with 15% growth every month, officials said. Connectivity with new destinations across the country has helped the growth. Officials said the airlines are now adding flights to more Tier-2 cities from Jaipur due to reduction in VAT on aviation turbine fuel in the latest Budget of the state government.
