Finance Dept: File On Tablets For Officials Pending With Finance Dept | Jaipur News

Jaipur: As per the Budget announcement 2023-24, it was decided to distribute tablets to the officials of revenue and panchayati raj departments to make panchayat-related work online and paperless. Thus, a total requirement of 23,320 tablets was estimated by the panchayati raj department.
However, based on the technical suggestions related to tablets from the department of information and department (DOIT), the file for financial demand is under process at the level of the finance department since June 6, 2023, data received from panchayati raj department revealed.
A total budget of Rs 50 crore was proposed for the distribution of tablets to the officials of panchayati raj and revenue departments.
According to data received from the panchayati raj department, 15 tablets were estimated to be distributed to state-level officers, 33 tablets for zila pramukhs, 33 tablets for chief executive officers (CEOs) of zila parishads, 33 for additional chief executive officers of zila parishads, 352 tablets for pradhans of panchayat samitis and 352 for block development officers (BDOs), 11,251 tablets were estimated to be distributed to sarpanches and 11,251 for village development officers.
The secretary of the panchayati raj department, Ravi Jain, could not be reached for comments. As per the data, the expected date of implementation of the initiative is October 31, 2023.

Paracetamol tablets supplied to a public health center in Kotekar, Dakshina Kannada district, have been recalled due to a change in color. The health department received a complaint and directed the center to return the affected batches. Samples will be sent for lab analysis. The tablets were supplied by the government through Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Limited (KAPL).
