Fir: Fir Ready, Udh Officers In Trouble | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Trouble is mounting for officers of the urban development and housing (UDH) ministry with the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) set to submit an FIR in a bribery case before a court in Udaipur.
Sources said that the agency is likely to book officers whose names emerged when ACB sleuths arrested a man named Lokesh Jain from Udaipur on Monday for taking a bribe of Rs 12 lakh on behalf of senior UDH officers.
The agency sources said that they will reveal the names of the officers only when the FIR is presented before the court.
The ACB team had sent a complainant to Jain with Indian currency of Rs 5 lakh and Rs 7 lakh dummy currency. The accused was arrested in Udaipur soon after he took the bribe from the complainant, and searches were conducted at his house.
An ACB official said that the complainant had approached the bureau some time ago. The complainant alleged that the accused met him and claimed that he had good sources in the UDH. He asked for a bribe of Rs 12 lakh from the complainant on behalf of two senior officials of the UDH in lieu of helping him in land conversion work. Jain is currently on remand and under investigation.
