Fir: Hindu Exodus Pamphlets: Police File Fir | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A day after pamphlets claiming the exodus of Hindu families were seen pasted outside houses in Krishna Colony in Brahmpuri area of the Walled City, police on Sunday lodged an FIR against miscreants for disturbing peace and communal harmony.
Earlier, similar posters were pasted outside houses in Kishanpole area, where, too, police lodged a case.
“We have registered a case under appropriate sections of IPC against unknown persons for disturbing peace and communal harmony. We will take strong action against those responsible,” said Kailash Bishnoi, ACP (crime).
Locals had earlier complained to the authorities that the atmosphere was being vitiated by miscreants. Even the opposition BJP held local councillors responsible for the act.
Police have also beefed up the security where these posters were found.
