Four burnt alive after two trucks collide near Ajmer | Ajmer News

AJMER: Four people were burnt alive when two trucks caught fire after a head-on collision on the Beawar-Jaipur bypass in Ajmer district on Tuesday at around 6am. The highway was jammed after flames engulfed both the vehicles. Police reached the spot to control the fire and regulate the traffic. It took two hours to control the fire.
All four bodies in the trucks were completely charred. Police identified the deceased based on registration numbers of the two vehicles.
Suresh Nathwal (34) of Jaipur and Sanjay Leel (22), also from Shahpura in Jaipur, who were in one truck died in the accident, police said. Om Prakash
(20) and Shishram Gujjar (28), both relatives and residents of Kushalgarh in Alwar district, were in the other truck and died in the collision.
Deputy SP Mukesh Soni said that the two trucks coming in opposite directions, one from Beawar and another from Jaipur, had a head-on collision. The truck coming from the Jaipur side crossed the road divider and hit the second truck coming from the Beawar side.
The collision was so huge that both the trucks caught fire, giving no chance to people sitting inside to escape. Villagers gathered at the spot and it took two hours for fire officials to control the flames. Police officials regulated the traffic on both sides. Villagers said the collision was so strong that the trucks coming from behind also lost control. The truck that was coming from Jaipur road was loaded with marble stones while the one coming from Beawar was carrying cement. The four bodies were sent to JLN Hospital in Ajmer for post-mortem. Police prima facie believe that the driver of one of the trucks fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle.
