Four of family from MP killed in road accident in Rajasthan’s Bundi | Jaipur News
KOTA: Four person from a Madhya Pradesh-based family, including a couple, were killed in a road accident in Rajasthan’s Bundi district on intervening nights of Saturday and Sunday.
The accident took place after the SUV they were travelling in, rammed from behind into a truck on NH – 52 near Hindoli town under Hindoli police station.
The four deceased persons were identified as Devi Singh (50), his wife Maankhor Kanwar (45), his brother Rajaram (40) and his nephew Jitendra (20) (Rajaram’s son), all residents of Gangukhedi village, Malwa in Agar district in MP.
The SUV was likely to be at high speed and the truck ahead it was likely to have pulled break causing the SUV to ram into it from behind, said Manoj Sikarwal, circle inspector, Hindoli police station.
Three of the family were killed on the spot while the woman succumbed to injuries during treatment at hospital on early Sunday morning, the officer added.
The family was going from their native village to Pushkar in Ajmer for religious purpose.
The truck driver fled away from the spot leaving his vehicle stationary, however, the police have seized the vehicle and efforts are underway to nab the driver.
The four bodies were placed in the mortuary for postmortem to be conducted later in the day after arrival of their family members.
