Gang Abducts Bizman, Woman At Gunpoint, Demands ₹1cr Ransom | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A 26-year-old businessman alleged he was abducted along with a woman at gunpoint by unidentified men. The victim, Vikas Kumar, in his FIR to the Muhana police station on Monday alleged that the accused also abducted a woman he knew for the past several months.
The accused allegedly demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore from Kumar. The gang let him go after taking Rs 10 lakh from Kumar’s bank account by using his ATM card.
Jaipur police said that they have also learnt the whereabouts of the woman abducted by the accused. As per the FIR, Kumar went to meet a woman he considered his sister, he was having tea outside a hotel on the road when as many as four unidentified men waylaid him and abducted him in his case.
As per the FIR, the accused also abducted the woman and took them before blindfolding the duo. The accused then threatened to kill Kumar along with the woman.
The victim told police that the accused thrashed multiple times in the case and warned him not to go to the police. The accused let Kumar go the next day after taking his money. “We have tracked down the woman who was reported abducted along with Kumar. She is being brought to Jaipur. We will speak to her to find out exactly what transpired,” said an official.
DCP (South) Yogesh Goyal said that three suspects have been rounded up in this case. “Interrogations are underway into the case, we will be able to crack the case very soon,” he said.
A team of Jaipur police was examining CCTVs from the Muhana area where Kumar claimed he was abducted on Saturday evening.
“There are a lot of missing links in this puzzle. The accused let Kumar go, but they allegedly kept the woman captive. We later found that she was in New Delhi. Therefore, police teams are piecing together this mystery by collecting evidence,” an official said on the condition of anonymity. Police are also tracking CCTVs around Jaipur-Delhi highway, especially in Shahpura and Virat Nagar towns.
