Gang-Rape: Those Who Harass Girls Will Find Tough To Get Govt Jobs: Gehlot | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot said the police have been directed to act against eve-teasers and harassers of girls strongly.

He said the names of the boys caught in such crimes would be shared with the RPSC and staff selection board and they will find it difficult to get a government job.
“Some mischievous elements spoil the whole atmosphere here. I told the director general of police, chief secretary and other officers the other day to strongly deal with these mischief makers,” Gehlot told reporters.

Gehlot said Rajasthan is prompt in action against criminals citing the arrest in the Bhilwara rape and murder case. He also advised the parents to be accommodative and take their children in to confidence if they had a love affair instead of pushing them to take their lives.
He also alleged that an attempt is being made to defame Rajasthan. “Rajasthan is a very peace-loving state. An attempt is being made to defame it by comparing it with Manipur. Isolated incidents have happened in every state. But they turn a blind eye when it comes to BJP-ruled states,” he said.
Gehlot said, on Manipur incidents, Prime Minister has committed a huge blunder. “Two local communities have become enemies of each other in their own state. They are carrying weapons, taken by loot or given by the Police, including AK-47. You are comparing Rajasthan and Chattisgarh with Manipur, it is only politics, and we don’t approve of it.”
Prime Minister earlier in the month took a dig at the Congress-ruled states of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh over crimes against women, while denouncing a video that went viral a day before the start of the monsoon session of Parliament showing two women in Manipur being assaulted and molested, triggering outrage and condemnation.
On the Supreme Court’s stay on the conviction of Rahul Gandhi in a 2019 defamation case, Gehlot said the court’s remarks are enough to send a message to the people of the country as he termed the case a conspiracy to remove Rahul Gandhi from the Parliament after his successful Bharat Jodo Yatra.
