In 2019, Ips Officer Was Accused Of Rape | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: A woman had lodged a case of rape against now-suspended IPS officer Sushil Kumar Bishnoi at Devi Nagar police station in Jodhpur in 2019, alleging that he raped her in the year 2018.
“At that time the officer was under training in Hyderabad and he had maintained that as he had refused to continue his relationship, the family of the woman in order to pressue him into marriage had lodged this complaint. The matter was investigated and a final report was filed stating that there was no basis to the complaint,” said a senior police officer of Jodhpur (West).
In her complaint the woman stated that she was engaged to Bishnoi, who belonged to the same community as her, when he was an IPS aspirant from Bikaner preparing for the exam in Jodhpur. She alleged that Bishnoi took her to an isolated house in April 2018 and raped her there.
