Gehlot Blames Bjp’s ‘hindu Rashtra’ Talk For Amritpal’s Khalistan Demand | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday targeted RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleging that their frequent talks of Hindu nation gave Sikh hardliner Amritpal courage to speak about Khalistan.
Addressing the divisional level workers’ conference in Bharatpur, Gehlot said, “A new man has emerged in Punjab… Amritpal. He is saying if Mohan Bhagwat and Narendra Modi could talk about Hindu Rashtra, then why should I not talk about Khalistan? He has got the courage because you talk about Hindu Rashtra,” said Gehlot, adding it is easy to please people in the name of religion.
“It takes time to build and if you want to demolish it, send bulldozers like Yogi. Breaking is easy but joining is a difficult task. That’s why Amritpal got the courage to speak. Indira Gandhi did not allow Khalistan to be formed,” said the chief minister.
The chief minister asked people to vote rising above religion and caste.
State in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa exhorted all Congressmen to unite to defeat the BJP. He said, “We all have to unite and fight against the BJP. They want to divide the country. They are engaged in dividing people on religion. We have to bring back the spirit of 1947.”
PCC president Govind Singh Dotasra said the government has given the maximum number of ministers from Bharatpur, as Congress has won all the seats except one.
