Gehlot: Gajendra Singh Shekhawat charged in Sanjeevani co-op scam, alleges CM Ashok Gehlot | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: CM Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday alleged that Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was trying to mislead people in the Sanjivani Co-operative Society scam, whereas in the investigation by the Special Operation Group (SOG), he has been charged under the same sections as other arrested accused in the case.
In a late night tweet, Gehlot said the Union minister knows that Sanjivani Society has looted the lifetime deposits of more than 1 lakh victims amounting to more than Rs 900 crore. The CM added that in this case, the rights to attach the property are with the ED and not with the SOG.
The SOG had repeatedly urged the ED to attach properties related to Sanjivani Society in the past 2 years, but the ED, which has been raiding the houses of opposition leaders across the country, has not yet taken action and attached the properties of the accused, said Gehlot.
“You are a Union minister yourself. If you are innocent, why don’t you come forward to get back the money of the poor?” the chief minister asked.
The central registrar has appointed a liquidator in this matter, but he will be able to return the money to victims only when the property of Sanjivani Society is attached and the money is recovered from there, he said.
